Our environmental commitments
We are stepping up to meet the UK Government's Net Zero by 2025 challenge. Our strategy for reducing our environmental impact focuses on two aspects: decarbonising our operations and minimising waste by managing our energy and resources more efficiently.

The Planet Mark Business Certification provides verification of Drumgrange’s carbon reduction efforts, holding us accountable to measurable emissions reductions.
Since embarking on our sustainability journey in 2023, we have consistently reduced our Scope 1 and Scope 2 (direct emissions) by at least 5% year-on-year.
In the coming years, we plan to further reduce our environmental impact by expanding the remit of our measurements to include indirect emissions all along our supply chain, making changes to decarbonise as far as reasonably possible.
We aim to increase the percentage of procurement from sustainable sources by 40% by 2035.

A greener fleet
29% of our company cars are electric vehicles (EVs). We aim to achieve 90% by 2030.
Since 2023, we have participated in an EV salary sacrifice scheme. Our employees can save up to 40% on a new EV by paying the lease from their pre-tax salary, making owning an EV more affordable.
Unlike traditional petrol cars, EVs have zero tailpipe emissions, releasing no CO2 and significantly less greenhouse gases into the atmosphere. This means cleaner air for all. Combining this with renewable energy sources further reduces our fossil fuel consumption, significantly boosting our environmental advantage.

Decarbonising our operations
Between 2024 and 2023, we reduced our direct emissions by 8.5%. These figures were measured using the Planet Mark methodology, which fully adheres to the Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Protocol.
From refurbishing our sites to improve its energy efficiency, switching to greener suppliers where possible, to increasing the percentage of electric vehicles in our company fleet, we are making active changes to drive down our emissions even further in the next few years.
