As well as military systems for land, sea and air, Drumgrange CBT expertise includes the oil, gas and production industries. Our networked custom Windows™ solutions provide real-time instructor based training including plant mimic panels and real-time dynamic flows. Drumgrange training systems are in service with the British Army and Royal Navy.
XERES Maritime Interdiction Training System
The training system we designed for our Xeres marine command, control and communications system enables RN crews to be trained on land in its use and thereby deploy personnel and assets with greater safety, confidence and effectiveness once they are at sea.
Mine Warfare Tactical Support System - view data sheet(pdf)
This PC-based Mission Planning and Assessment system provides the Royal Navy’s Mine Warfare Forces with all the necessary tools for safe, effective and efficient minehunting, minesweeping and clearance diving. Available as a stand-alone or as a network application suite, both Office PC and ruggedised deployable PC hardware can be supplied.
Ptarmigan CBT
This PC based CBT system enables instructors to generate scenarios that give students at the Royal School of Signals a firm grounding in Ptarmigan equipment Man Machine Interfaces. The system offers accurate emulation of operator positions, with instructor voice communications available to individual students or groups. Students can be evaluated via unobtrusive monitoring.
Command System Skills Trainer
For BAeSEMA we created an integrated communications system within a system, which allows communication among students using the Type 23 Frigate Command System Skills Trainer at School of Maritime Operations and provides control from an instructor console. Flexibility was designed in with provision for system configuration modification, recording and replaying of messages, and a number of inter-communication operating modes.
Osprey Ptarmigan Network Management Trainer
Osprey is the CBT system used to teach students at the Royal School of Signals how to manage Ptarmigan tactical area network communications and use its management tools effectively. Osprey preserves much of the realism of Ptarmigan and can operate in standalone or group mode with the ability for full interaction in a team training environment. The facility supports all phases of the training life cycle; from preparation, to management of training, its validation, and reassessment of training needs.
All Arms Training Equipment (AASTER)
Located at six of the All Arms Schools, the AASTER system trains non Royal Signals students to use Ptarmigan SCRA(T) equipment. The system can support up to 22 simulator positions, each with high fidelity emulations and representative voice communications, and an Instructor workstation to control operational scenarios and simulate fault conditions.
Combined Tactical Trainer - School of Maritime Operations
Drumgrange teamed with Ferranti to update the Combined Tactical Trainer for the RN’s Maritime Operations School. The update involved major modifications to the Type 42 Operations Room Simulator and the development of software for the simulation of; UAA(2) ESM, 675 Jammer, and Phalanx Close-In Weapon System.
